Background and Challenges
A key revenue driver www.jurysinns.com had become the most important channel of distribution for the group. While many ad-hoc corporate clients were in fact using the website to book rooms directly, there was no system in place to manage this business and harness each account's potential. Cost saving was another key consideration. Jurys Inns needed a cost effective system that would meet the needs of both clients and sales managers. As with all b2b solutions, usability would be the key to the success of this project. In order to drive adoption rates among busy travel managers, ease of access, and instant access were of paramount importance.
The Solution
The project involved the development of a new corporate booking tool; iCorporate, giving clients access to both negotiated and best available rates, at www.jurysinns.com. User-friendliness for both front end users and back office administrators was a key requirement and the system was built in close co-operation with the sales team to ensure the clients requirements were being fulfilled. By pre-loading all possible rate parameters at the development stage, p3 created a database of corporate rates for each property, allowing sales managers to enter the clients requirements and create specific rates values and conditions, based on these parameters.
The Result
A user friendly system that has impressed both end users and back office administrators. Lead time for account set up has been shortened dramatically and new accounts can be created instantly. Adoption rates are proving impressive and as the system rolls out, iCorporate is fast becoming one of the company's most important customer acquisition tools.
